Warren Towler, CPA, CA
Warren received his CA designation in 1989. Prior to joining Fred Whittaker to form Whittaker & Towler, Chartered Accountants (the firm that preceded Towler & Associates, CPAs) Warren was a corporate controller in the real estate industry for 18 years. Early in his accounting career he gained valuable experience with three medium sized accounting firms offering accounting and income tax services to a wide variety of clients.
In early 2008, seeking a change in career direction, Warren accepted Fred’s offer to partner with him to offer accounting and income tax services to new and existing small business clients. For six years Fred and Warren, along with their staff expanded their practice, until Fred retired in 2013. Today Warren runs the firm and helps his clients save money by providing professional accounting and tax services in a friendly manner.
Yvonne, CPA, CGA
Yvonne received her CGA designation in 2005. She also has a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in accounting.
Yvonne has more than 20 years’ experience in public accounting, where she has focused on assisting corporate clients with their accounting and tax reporting needs. In addition to preparing financial statements for corporate clients, she has extensive experience in bookkeeping and the preparation of personal tax returns.
Yvonne is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin and has been with Towler & Associates, CPAs for over 10 years.
Maureen
Prior to joining Towler & Associates, CPAs and while raising a young family, Maureen worked for many years as a secretary/bookkeeper in the construction industry, and as a purchasing/receiving agent and sales representative for home medical supplies and equipment.
Maureen started with the firm in 2002 when it was Whittaker and Associates, CAs. She enjoyed working at the front of the office as the receptionist and meeting the clients, but decided she wanted to get back into accounting. She presently works helping clients with their bookkeeping needs, preparing both personal tax returns and corporate returns. After many years here, she is still enjoying her work!
She lives in North Vancouver with her husband Brent and their daughter Tanya. They also have two other adult children, Wesley and Kyle (Savanah). While not at work she loves spending time with her family and friends and enjoying the great outdoors!
Sandy
Sandy started with the firm in 2003 when it was Whittaker and Associates, CPAs. Working at the reception desk and managing the office is what she loves to do, interacting with our clients and helping them as much as possible with their personal or corporate tax documents. Sandy is responsible for onboarding new clients, receiving client information and distributing completed tax returns and financial statements.Prior to working with Towler & Associates, CPAs, Sandy’s previous jobs involved working closely with their clients.
Sandy was born and raised in North Vancouver where she continues to live. She is married and has a son and daughter. When not at work, Sandy enjoys the outdoors whether walking with her dog, gardening, golfing or just enjoying the North Shore’s beauty.
